Crackers, Baths, and Mobility

I have been working part-time now for a few weeks, and it is going well. Joseph is able to stay home with Austin, and they are enjoying the time together.

Austin is doing great with his baby food. He eats about 3 big jars a day. His favorites are sweet potatoes, squash, and bananas. We are trying out some new foods lately. He didn’t like cottage cheese, but he did enjoy feeding himself a saltine cracker yesterday. Most of it ended up in his lap, but he did munch on a few bites.

We try to give Austin a bath every two or three days in the kitchen sink. He is beginning to be quite a handful though, grabbing at the dish soap and trying to turn the faucet on. He’s all clean in this picture.

Austin is getting more confident in his mobility every day. He can crawl pretty well now; though he doesn’t venture very far yet. The past few days, he has been hanging onto the couch if we stand him up. After I took this picture, he actually moved down the couch a little bit
