Books I've Read the Past Few Months

Books that I read back in grade school (they were better reads this time around):
-To Kill a Mockingbird by Lee, Harper (enlightening)
-Animal Farm by Orwell, George (a very quick read)
-The Scarlett Letter by Hawthorne, Nathaniel (very interesting now that I am familiar with the theology of the Puritans)
-Lord of the Flies by Golding, William (This was more horrifying than I remember.)

Classics that I have just read for the first time:
-The War of the Worlds by Wells, H.G.
-Jane Eyre by Bronte, Charlotte (This book was excellent. It was like three stories in one.)

Christian Fiction:
-The Prophet, The Prince, and The Scribe (three fiction books in a 5 book series by Rivers, Francine) Each book takes a Bible character (Amos, Jonathan and Silas) and uses the scriptures and a little imagination to create an enlightening story.

Christian Non-Fiction:
-Devotions for Ministry Wives by Hughes, Barbara
-Shopping for Time by Mahaney, Carolyn (We are reading this in our women's small group at church.)
-Let Me Be a Woman by Elliott, Elisabeth (I've read this book several times before, but it continues to encourage me in Biblical womanhood.)
-Lose the Halo, Keep the Wings: Great Advice for Ministers' Wives by Wilson, Virginia (We are using this book for my Seminary Wives Class.)
