Good Food, Good Times

Hurray! We had our first successful fine dining experience as a family of three. My Grandma Cheryl and Grandpa sent us some Christmas money which we decided to use on a nice dinner out. Austin was such a good boy! Those of you who have (or have had) a toddler know that eating out is a risky endeavor. Sometimes it is not worth the expense. Usually we opt for a cheap family dinner such as fast food or pizza. However, I had a coupon for a free appetizer at O'Charleys, plus they have a deal on Mondays where you can get two meals and two drinks for $20. So, we had a very nice dinner with leftovers to bring home for around $25 including a tip. Austin alternated between coloring and eating the whole time, and we were even highly complimented on our well- behaved child by some ladies at a nearby booth. I am so proud of our son! He is growing up. Just a few months ago, I was posting about my Meijer Madness shopping experience with Austin. Now he is able to sit at a nice restaurant without melting down before we get our main course. I thought this day would never come, but it has... we don't have a baby anymore... we have a little boy. These are fun times.
