Fun with Friends
Joseph and I kept the 3 year old nursery on Sunday, and the kids wanted to make a train with their chairs. They had a big time with it. After this picture was taken, we added more chairs so their babies could ride too. Poor Austin was the only boy, but he had a good time playing with the girls.
It's nice that they are old enough to pose for a picture, even if it is impossible to get them all smiling at once.
My friend Lacey has gotten several of us church ladies interested in making homemade greeting cards. We had a card-making time at church on Saturday morning, and two men in the church volunteered to watch our kids. It was a lot of fun, and we made quite a variety of cards. We also made a point of sending some of the cards to elderly members in our congregation who may not be able to meet with us regularly on Sundays as a way to encourage them.

We will miss you, Crawford Family!
We have been friends with the Crawfords for many years. Joseph went to Union University with Matt, and I became good friends with Brandy when we all moved up to Louisville back in 2005. Their oldest daughter, Violet, is the same age as Austin, and they also have a one and a half year old daughter, Camille. We have been privileged to spend some extra time with their family lately and I have included a lengthy slideshow of recent pictures. The Crawfords are moving away in about a week, so we were very grateful to have some good times with them before they go. We will miss you, Crawford family!

Amos
Austin has a friend named Amos who came over to play for a few hours this weekend. It was fun seeing Austin interact with another boy his age. They had a blast playing together.
At around the 1 minute 10 second mark of this video, I turn on a train song and the boys get really excited.
Enjoy!

Playing with Iain
I met a friend at the mall this week, and we let the boys play on these rides. Austin doesn't know that you can put money in them to make them move. We'll keep that a secret for awhile longer.

Daylillies with Mrs. Ash
Mrs. Ash is a dear friend of ours from Auburndale Baptist Church. This morning we went out to her daughter's daylilly farm out by Taylorsville Lake. The flowers were beautiful, and we had a very special time with Mrs. Ash.
